Superbite is a learning app made by Vertawo ("we", "us"). This page explains what information the app collects, why, who helps us handle it, and how you can delete it.
In short: we keep only what the app needs to work. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use tracking or analytics tools. You can delete your account and its data at any time from inside the app.
What we collect
- Your sign-in details. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address (with Apple you can hide your real email). When you sign in with your phone, we receive your phone number.
- Your answers when you start. Your first name, your age range, your gender (optional), the topics you like and any books you pick.
- Your reading progress. Which books and courses you have opened, where you stopped, when you last read, and your quiz scores.
- Your Premium status. Whether you have Premium or a free trial, until when, and which store you bought it from. We never see your card or bank details; Google Play or the App Store handles payment.
- Sign-in sessions. A random code that keeps you signed in on your phone. We store only a scrambled version of it.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or anything else on your phone.
Why we use it
- To create your account and keep you signed in.
- To show you topics and books that match what you chose.
- To save your place so you can continue on any phone.
- To unlock Premium when you have paid for it.
- To answer you if you write to us.
Who helps us
We share information only with the services that run parts of the app for us, and only what each one needs:
- Google Firebase sends and checks the text-message code when you sign in with your phone number, and helps with Google sign-in. Firebase privacy.
- Google and Apple confirm who you are when you use their sign-in.
- RevenueCat checks your Premium purchase with Google Play or the App Store. It gets a random account number from us, not your name or email. RevenueCat privacy.
- Google Play and the App Store handle payments.
- Our server and database host, which stores the information listed above.
We do not sell your information and do not share it for advertising.
How we keep it safe
All information travels between the app and our server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only the people who run Superbite can access the database.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we remove it from our database right away. See how to delete your account.
Your choices
- Age range, gender and book picks are optional; you can skip them.
- You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account.
- You can write to us to see, correct or delete your information.
Children
Superbite is meant for people aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is important, we will also tell you in the app.
